The Corcovado Foundation's mission is to conserve the richly biodiverse areas of the Osa Pensinsula, Costa Rica such as Corcovado National. Other protected areas include the Piedras Blancas National Park, Golfito Wildlife Refuge, Caño Island Biological Reserve and Golfo Dulce Forestry Reserve.
